How Your Home is Made
Barrett Exhibition Group engaged Walker Design to design two museum concepts. The ‘How Is Your Home Made’ installation gives insight to yr7 - yr 13 students as to exactly how the modern day home is constructed. The the installation cleverly illustrates how each trade works together to create a working home and inspire intrigue as to what each roll plays.
This is done through the build of a small-scale steel-frame home with hexagons windows displaying the layers of construction and overlaying acrylic panels with graphics detailing the professions that lie beneath the surface.
The outcome is the below installation built by Barrett Exhibition Group that students visit and leave with an understanding of what roll an Electrician or Plumber play in building your home, giving them valuable real-world information to make better informed career choices that particularly interest them.
